Senior Backend Developer (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer (f/m/d) to join ourBusiness Services division starting at the earliest possible opportunity.

Your responsibilities

Responsibility - Shipping features, resolving issues and maintaining the stability that commercial and compliance critical workflows depend on.

Development - Working in a mature PHP/Symfony codebase with complex business logic and real transaction volume across multiple countries.

Architecture - Contributing to the evolution towards API first, framework agnostic services designed to be consumed by other systems.

Data - Designing and maintaining robust data models, migrations and audit trails where correctness and traceability are essential.

Collaboration - Working closely with Product to understand problems and constraints, shaping technical solutions and owning decisions end to end.

Your profile

• You have completed your training in the IT field or your degree in computer science or a comparable course of study.
• You bring at least five years of professional experience with PHP and Symfony and feel confident working in large, customized codebases with high business relevance.
• You have experience with API based systems (REST; GraphQL is a plus), data modeling and ideally some exposure to Node.js or Python in integration scenarios.
• You are comfortable working in English in an international setup; German skills are an advantage for daily collaboration.
• You work in a structured and reliable way, communicate risks clearly, document decisions, and use AI tools consciously where they add real value.
