PwC

At PwC, our purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems.

Job Description & Summary

Do you want to make an impact on how a leading organization shares and uses its data securely? Are you looking for a role where you bring clarity to complex, interconnected environments and set clear architectural direction across teams? As System Architect - Data Platforms you operate at the level of the overall system and value stream, rather than a single platform. You're the connecting factor across platforms, teams, and governance, ensuring that individual platform decisions come together into one coherent, scalable, and future-proof system. You connect strategy, architecture, and execution within a SAFe/Agile environment, enabling teams to deliver high-quality outcomes at scale.

This is what you'll do

You're part of an inclusive team building and evolving modern data platforms that enable secure, controlled data sharing for reporting, analytics, and integration across PwC NL. You'll work on meaningful assignments where your expertise counts, use leading technology including AI tools, and benefit from knowledge sharing and coaching, so we grow and make an impact together.

As System Architect - Data Platforms, you ensure alignment, coherence, and integration across platforms such as AIS, Databricks, and Fabric and the broader data ecosystem. Where platform architects own specific platforms, you guard the bigger picture: connecting architecture across domains, documenting the rationale behind decisions, and bringing teams together around a shared direction.

  • You manage scope dependencies on a functional and technical level between multiple platforms (AIS, Databricks, Fabric) and data product backlogs;
  • You guard and document the rationale behind architectural and design decisions across operational, tactical, and strategic levels, and support teams in refining scope and ensuring alignment across the broader system landscape;
  • You act as liaison for the NL Chief Data Office (CDO) and data governance, ensuring alignment with data quality, lineage, and governance principles;
  • You act as liaison to Enterprise Architecture and facilitate collaboration with other SME teams such as Cloud and Security;
  • You co-lead the operational alignment of the Agile Release Train together with the Product Manager and Release Train Engineer (RTE).

You recognize yourself in this

You bring clarity to ambiguity, align teams, and ensure architectural decisions contribute to long-term value. You work in a structured, collaborative way and connect strategy with execution across domains. Furthermore you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture within complex environments;
  • 3+ years of experience with data governance frameworks (data quality, data lineage, data definitions);
  • Skills and experience in data modeling and integration patterns, with working knowledge of SQL and Python;
  • Experience working in SAFe or Agile environments (e.g. Agile Release Trains, PI Planning, cross-team alignment);
  • Strong affinity with modern data platform architectures (e.g. Databricks, Fabric, data mesh concepts).

Nice to have:

  • Relevant training or certifications such as DAMA DMBOK, TOGAF, ArchiMate, and SAFe.

What we offer

At PwC, you get the chance to be yourself, bring out the best in yourself in a high-performance organization, and grow within our global network. We offer you, among other things:

  • A competitive salary in line with your experience, an annual bonus (depending on results and personal development), and the opportunity to grow;
  • A motivating work environment where collaboration with ambitious colleagues and recognition for your contributions are central;
  • An extensive range of tailor-made trainings focused on professional growth and leadership development;
  • Choose the mobility option that suits you best: an electric lease car for your business travel, plus the option to use various mobility providers through one convenient app;
  • 32 vacation days and the option to purchase additional vacation days;
  • At PwC, your well-being is our priority. That's why, alongside a personal well-being budget to help you grow in physical and mental health, we offer access to the well-being platform OpenUp;
  • The opportunity to work on challenging and meaningful projects, use leading technology such as AI tools, learn from the best, and be supported through coaching. Together we work as an inclusive team to make a real impact;
  • The flexibility of hybrid working, including a fully equipped home workspace and a monthly net expense allowance for internet and other costs;
