Our clients range from multinationals and public sector bodies to entrepreneurs and family businesses. We are looking for an experienced Director to grow our Private Business proposition, provide senior technical and delivery leadership, and build the capability and profile of our national capital allowances team. This national role can be based in any UK PwC office, although the South and South East is a strategic priority. Some UK travel will be expected.\nWhat your days will look like\nBuilding and owning senior relationships with privately owned, entrepreneurial and private-equity-backed businesses, originating opportunities and converting them into lasting client engagements and a strong pipeline.\nProviding authoritative technical leadership on complex or sensitive capital allowances matters, and overseeing high-quality advice and claims with senior responsibility for quality, risk and commercial performance.\nWorking across PwC, particularly Private Business, to join up capital allowances, R&D and Patent Box expertise around clients' investment and innovation agendas.\nLeading, coaching and developing our people, contributing to an inclusive, high-performing national team, and using technology, data and AI to improve quality, client experience and delivery efficiency.\nThis role is for you if\nYou have deep UK capital allowances expertise, with a relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience, and the credibility to lead senior client conversations.\nA strong record advising on significant capital investment, property and construction expenditure.\nProven business development experience, building senior relationships and converting opportunities into enduring client engagements, ideally within the Private Business market.\nStrong commercial judgement, balancing growth, quality, risk, client experience and financial performance.\nExperience as an inclusive leader who develops people and collaborates across a large, networked organisation.\nAn entrepreneurial mindset to build and grow a business, with curiosity about using technology, data and AI to improve delivery.\nWhat you’ll receive from us\nNo matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.\nWe offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site;
