As a Data & Backend Engineer (Full Stack) Senior Associate you will help design and develop data solutions that turn raw information into usable insights for client needs, within our Data and Analytics Engineering practice. As a Senior Associate you will analyze complex problems, build meaningful client connections, and guide junior team members while managing workstreams that support broader project goals. In this role at PwC, you will use data science and engineering methods to support exploratory analysis, statistical modeling, data visualization, and full stack delivery across data pipelines and backend components.

Responsibilities

- Developing data and backend solutions that support exploratory analysis, descriptive analysis, statistical modeling, and visualization needs

- Translating complex datasets into clear insights that inform client decisions and business strategy

- Building and maintaining data pipelines, data models, and data quality controls across engineering workflows

- Designing scalable backend components and integrating data science methods into production-ready solutions

- Applying programming languages, machine learning methods, and analytical tools to solve business problems

- Reviewing assigned work for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with technical requirements

- Guiding junior team members through task execution, issue resolution, and technical problem solving

- Collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, anticipate needs, and adapt to changing priorities

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree

- At least 4 years of experience

- Oral and written proficiency in English required

What Sets You Apart

Proven experience in backend and data engineering

- Skilled in Python, PySpark, and SQL programming

- Hands-on experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs

- Ability to develop front-end applications using ReactJS

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Machine Learning, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Systems Engineering

- Demonstrating proficiency in data engineering and data science workflows

- Utilizing programming languages such as C++, R, and MATLAB

- Applying machine learning techniques and predictive modeling

- Leveraging experience with data pipelines and data lakes

- Excelling in complex data analysis and statistical analysis

- Navigating AI-driven automation and cognitive solutions
