Within our Advisory practice, you will apply your skills in data, algorithms, and software engineering to build and deploy AI and Machine Learning solutions at scale. As a Director, you will set the strategic direction and lead business development efforts. You will make impactful decisions and oversee multiple projects, maintaining executive-level client relations. Translating the vision, you set the tone and inspire others to follow. Your leadership will promote technological advances, creating an environment where people and technology thrive together.\nResponsibilities\nLead an initial team of 30+ engineers across multiple tax technology applications, with scope to grow\nDesign and implement end-to-end solution architectures for large-scale platforms\nStay close enough to the work to guide architecture, review critical designs and code paths, troubleshoot high-severity issues, and pair with engineers on the most complex problems\nOwn technical decisions locally - architecture, tooling, patterns, trade-offs\nDrive engineering quality in partnership with US colleagues: code review standards, testing practices, deployment reliability\nPartner with US portfolio leadership (Directors, Senior Managers) on roadmap execution\nMentor and develop senior engineers and managers on your team\nIdentify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and scalability gaps\nOwn operational excellence for your portfolio: uptime, incident response, release reliability, and support burden reduction\nEstablish and maintain regular operational reporting (production health, delivery velocity, quality metrics, technical debt) for US leadership\nChampion modern engineering practices: CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability\nDrive AI adoption across your team: AI-assisted development workflows, LLM integration, agentic automation\nEvaluate and implement AI/ML capabilities that improve delivery speed, accuracy, or client outcomes\nBuild your team's fluency with AI tools (coding assistants, test generation, automated review)\nWhat you must have\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field\n18+ years of software engineering experience with progressive technical leadership\nProven ability to lead teams of 30+ engineers across multiple workstreams\nStrong hands-on skills - you can still architect, code, debug, and deploy\nExperience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred;
