This work will support two major regional projects:\nNZT Power’s carbon capture plant\nNEP’s onshore compression facilities\n\nOver the initial five-year term, px Group will deliver the OE&M requirements of the Operational Readiness phase, supporting commissioning and managing the handover from the Joint Venture project teams into full operations.\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe are now recruiting for a SHEQ Lead. In this role you will be responsible for the leadership, development, and delivery of all Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) activities across the NZT and NEP assets.\nYou’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and manage all SHEQ activities across NZT and NEP, ensuring consistent standards, processes, and behaviours across both assets. \nDevelop, implement, and maintain SHEQ management systems in line with px Company Operating Standards, COMAH requirements, and client expectations. \nEstablish and monitor SHEQ performance metrics, including KPIs and Process Safety Performance Indicators (PSPIs), providing clear reporting and insight to site and corporate leadership. \nLead the development and delivery of behavioural safety programmes, promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in safety performance. \nEnsure effective incident reporting, investigation, and learning processes are in place, including root cause analysis and close-out of corrective actions. \nProvide SHEQ leadership and support during major events, including incidents, outages, shutdowns, and commissioning activities. \nAct as the primary interface with client HSSE representatives, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders on all SHEQ matters. \nMore responsibilities can be found on the Role Profile. \n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nDegree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Safety, Engineering, Environmental). \nNEBOSH Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification. \nSignificant experience in SHEQ leadership within major hazard or COMAH regulated environments. \nStrong understanding of process safety management and major accident hazard control. \nExperience developing and implementing SHEQ management systems and assurance processes. \nExperience in incident investigation methodologies (e.g. root cause analysis). \n\nWhat you will receive from us\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays\nContribution towards eye test and glasses\nOnline company discount benefits site including cinema tickets and gym membership discount\nLong Service Awards\nEmployee recognition scheme -
