Ready to join the PXG team?\nDescription:\nThe R&D Intern is responsible for supporting PXG’s R&D team with product testing, fixture & machine design, research studies, and process improvement initiatives. You’ll gain direct, hands-on experience working with, and helping develop, the world’s finest golf clubs.\nWe are seeking undergraduate students majoring in Engineering with a passion for Golf.\nResponsibilities: \nDesign and document mechanical components and assemblies, following engineering standards.\nImprove internal data analysis tools through collaboration with senior engineers.\nCollect and analyze performance data using Trackman or GCQuad.\nDocument test results and collaborate with the R&D team to review findings.\nAssist the team with preparing test samples and test equipment.\nUse lab equipment to accurately measure physical and golf specific properties. \nConduct product quality inspections on FA samples.\nActively participate in team discussions regarding design, testing, and process improvement initiatives.\nAdditional duties as assigned.\nJob Skills Required:\nExperience with CAD software\nComprehension of engineering principles\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office products\nStrong golf equipment knowledge\nPassion for golf\nJob Skills Preferred:\nGeneral understanding of machining & manufacturing processes (CNC milling, casting, forging, etc.)\nBasic programming knowledge (VBA, Python, Labview, etc.)\nGeometric Design & Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge\nExperience with golf launch monitors\nBasic understanding of statistics and data analysis\nSoft Skills:\nSolid critical thinking/analysis skills \nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nSelf-motivated and eager learner\nHigh accountability\nAttention to detail\nAbility to work independently\nEducation:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineer, and/or related field. \nYears of Experience:\nPrevious internship experience a plus\nGolf related experience a plus\nTravel:\nPossibly of local travel during business day\nCompensation:\n$25/hr\nWorking Conditions: \nThis position primarily works in an office/golf shop environment.
