As we expand our footprint into the Bahamas we are recruiting for a I&E Technician.\nThe I&E Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems that support safe and efficient plant operations. This includes process control instruments, fire & gas detection systems, electrical distribution equipment, and associated control systems. The role ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n General Duties\nInterpret and update P&IDs, electrical drawings, and loop diagrams.\nMaintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) records of work performed.\nSupport commissioning and startup of new equipment and systems.\nEnsure all work complies with safety standards (OSHA, NFPA, IEC/ISA, or local equivalents).\nParticipate in turnaround/shutdown maintenance activities.\nWork closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues\n Instrumentation Duties\nInstall, calibrate, and maintain process instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, level, analytical sensors).\nMaintain and test Fire & Gas detection systems (gas detectors, flame detectors, smoke detectors).\nTroubleshoot instrumentation signal loops (4-20mA, HART, Foundation Fieldbus).\nSupport Distributed Control System (DCS), PLC, and Safety Instrumented System (SIS) integration.\nPerform preventive maintenance and functional testing of instrumentation systems.\n Electrical Duties\nMaintain and repair low- and medium-voltage electrical systems, motors, drives (VFDs), and power distribution panels.\nTroubleshoot electrical faults, wiring, and terminations.\nPerform routine testing on breakers, switchgear, and protective devices.\nSupport emergency shutdown (ESD) and backup power systems.\n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nTrade certification, associate’s degree, or equivalent in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related field\n3-7 years of industrial experience in oil & gas (ideally LNG), petrochemical, power or heavy industry.\nKnowledge of process instrumentation, electrical systems, PLC/DCS controls, and F&G systems.\nAbility to read technical drawings, loop sheets, and schematics.\nFamiliarity with safety & compliance procedures in hazardous areas (OSHA, NFPA, IEC, NEC, & IECEx)\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nComputer literacy (CMMS, HART communicator, diagnostic
