The Tax Principal leads and mentors tax teams, reviews complex tax returns, manages client relationships, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. TheTax Principal would be expected to use their experience to advise clients and develop a true trusted advisor relationship.\nHere are some additional expectations of our PYA Tax Principal leadership position:\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nLead clients and teams with demonstrated excellence in project management and relationship development\nAdvise clients on a variety of tax issues, resulting in the successful completion of tax planning, advisory, accounting, and compliance projects, all while maintaining focus on client service excellence\nDevelop a team of tax consultants and other subject matter experts to ensure exceptional client service to PYA tax clients\nCultivate existing business client relationships and advance opportunities with new prospect leads\nQUALIFICATIONS\n8+ years of tax experience within a public accounting and/or consulting firm, or equivalent experience in industry tax leadership\nCPA, EA license, or another recognized certification is required\nExperience with 990s, pass through entities (i.e. partnerships and S corporations), and individual returns preferred\nClient-oriented work ethic, committed to high-quality results\nCreative problem-solving skills with a high level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills and a passion for helping client\nAdditionally, PYA prides itself on the services it provides to the healthcare, financial institution, and real estate industries.
