Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.\nThis position is responsible for overseeing and supervising the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:\nImplements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.\n\nEnsures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates\n\nEnsures the team follows applicable processes and procedures. Maintains records to support transactions and provide documentation to the appropriate parties, including VOYA, government agencies, and others.\n\nAudits and submits data entry uploads for taxes and commissions such as uploads for taxes to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal laws\n\nDevelops and maintains relationships with department peers focused on collaboration, honesty, integrity, and respect for each other\n\nPrepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.\n\nEnsures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.\n\nFacilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.\n\nIdentifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.\n\nPerform other duties assigned by management.\n\nEducation/Qualification:\nAssociate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred\n\n5-7 years of related experience\n\nExtensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.\n\nStrong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills\n\nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint\n\nExperience with Excel and be comfortable with managing excel generated reports.\n\nHRIS experience preferred\n\nProficient with payroll software\n\nEffective communication skills and strong presentation skills; demonstrated ability to effectively deliver informative and engaging presentations\n\nStrong attention to detail\n\nUnderstands and applies complex information and data from various sources to meet objectives\n\nManages multiple assignments, sets priorities, and adapts to changing conditions and work assignments\n\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion\n\nOther Duties:\nAdheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\n\nBenefits and Perks:\nExcellent pay\nMedical, dental, vision\nCompany paid life insurance\nCompany paid short-term disability\n401K with employer match\nPaid vacation and company holidays\nTraining and Career Development\nCompany vehicle (if job applicable)\nImmediate qualification for the ALL In Ownership Plan for all eligible full-time employees\nOur Commitment:\nPye-Barker is built on four core values - customer-bias, trust, respect, and commitment - that serve as the north star for how we conduct business within our community and across our branches.
