In this role, you will be primarily focused on full Aircraft Integration, serving as a detail-oriented and efficient builder responsible for bringing our autonomous electric aircraft to life. You will install the full range of aircraft components-including avionics, electrical connections, spray plumbing, harness routing, decals, servos, landing gear, brakes, and sensors-while working closely with engineering, maintaining work instructions, supporting ongoing maintenance, and performing occasional repairs. This is an active role that involves lifting, frequent communication, and some exposure to noise.\nResponsibilities\nAircraft Systems Integration: Execute full-vehicle integration by accurately and efficiently installing avionics, electrical connections, spray plumbing, harness routing, decals, servos, landing gear, brakes, and sensors.\n\nComponent Testing & Assembly: Assemble and test mechanical and electrical components and sub-systems under the guidance of engineers to meet strict performance and safety specifications.\n\nDocumentation & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the creation and improvement of detailed technical documentation, including assembly instructions, routing standards, and test reports.\n\nTroubleshooting & Prototyping: Participate in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on new and existing systems, collaborating directly with designers and engineers to build prototypes and production aircraft.\n\nTool & Workstation Maintenance: Maintain equipment, tools, and a clean, organized, and safe work environment in adherence to company standards.\n\nInventory & Supply Collaboration: Order and maintain shop supplies, consumables, and tools; collaborate with the Inventory Department to manage parts availability for uninterrupted production workflow\n\nRequired Qualifications\nHands-on experience in a technical build, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, or repair environment such as aviation, automotive, motorsports, marine, industrial manufacturing, HVAC, or similar.\n\nStrong mechanical aptitude and an interest in building, understanding, and troubleshooting physical systems.\n\nProficiency with hand and power tools and the ability to perform precise assembly work safely.\n\nAbility to follow technical instructions, drawings, work instructions, and established processes while maintaining strong attention to detail.\n\nComfortable working closely with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot problems and develop practical solutions.\n\nStrong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.\n\nAbility to stay organized and adapt as priorities and designs evolve in a collaborative prototyping environment\n\nComfortable working in an active shop environment, including using PPE, handling materials and equipment, and performing work requiring manual dexterity.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n1-4 years of experience in aviation maintenance, automotive assembly, industrial mechanical/electrical, or HVAC.\n\nExceptional detail orientation and efficiency, with a high standard for quality, clean routing, and precise installation.\n\nStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment (e.g., torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, multimeters, magnetic pole testers, safety cable guns, wire crimpers, and safety wire pliers).\n\nBlueprints & Schematics: Ability to accurately read, interpret, and build in accordance with engineering drawings, CAD models, and wiring diagrams.\n\nCollaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively alongside engineers, other technicians, and production teams.\n\nCertifications: An A&P certification or accumulated time towards certification is a strong bonus.\n\nWe understand that candidates bring different strengths and experiences, and you don’t need to meet every qualification to be considered. Display trainability to achieve the next milestone.\n\nMonth 3: Acquire the ability to install 50% of aircraft components with confidence, high efficiency, and minimal guidance. Display skills and aptitude to achieve the next milestone.\n\nMonth 6: Achieved full build process-demonstrating the ability to install 100% of aircraft components confidently, efficiently, and with minimal guidance.\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nTechnician Level 2: $35-$39/hour + equity\n Senior Technician: $39-$45/hour + equity\nCompensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
