This role focuses on reliable production operations, incident resolution, and continuous improvement while working independently on complex systems.\n\nKey Accountabilities : \n\n- Administer and support enterprise MongoDB environments across distributed infrastructure.\n\n- Perform day-to-day operational support including monitoring, patching, performance tuning, and capacity management.\n\n- Actively participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.\n\n- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventative solutions.\n\n- Support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions (AGs, clustering, replica sets, sharding).\n\n- Execute and validate backup and recovery processes for both platforms.\n\n- Utilize MongoDB Ops Manager for monitoring, patching, automation, and operational visibility.\n\n- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash, T-SQL, Mongo Shell).\n\n- Monitor system health using metrics, logs, and observability tools.\n\n- Collaborate with Engineering and stakeholders to improve stability and performance.\n\n- Support infrastructure deployments and environment builds (on-prem and cloud).\n\n- Ensure adherence to security, audit, and compliance requirements.\n\nTechnical Responsibilities : \n\n- Manage MongoDB : replica sets, sharding, backups, performance tuning.\n\n- Perform performance analysis and tuning across both platforms.\n\n- Troubleshoot cross-layer issues (OS, network, storage, database).\n\n- Support cloud environments (Azure / MongoDB Atlas).\n\n- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation.\n\nRequired Experience & Skills : \n\n- 5+ years of DBA experience (MongoDB).\n\n- Hands-on experience with MongoDB operations including replica sets and backup/recovery.\n\n- Hands-on experience with MongoDB Ops Manager (monitoring, automation).\n\n- Strong understanding of HA/DR concepts and database security/access control.\n\n- Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux platforms, automation, and scripting.\n\n- Working knowledge of incident, change, and problem management (ITIL).\n\n- Ability to work independently on moderately to highly
