The Process Engineer will help optimize manufacturing operations, improve workplace safety and ergonomics, and drive continuous improvement initiative.\nIn this hands-on role, you'll work closely with production teams, front-line leaders, and plant management to identify opportunities, eliminate waste, improve workflow, and develop innovative solutions that enhance manufacturing performance.\nFrom process optimization and shop floor layouts to equipment improvements and new manufacturing methods, you'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on operational efficiency, product quality, and business growth.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs our Process Engineer, you'll take ownership of manufacturing improvement initiatives while partnering with team members throughout the facility.\nManufacturing Process Improvement\nIdentify and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, increase capacity, and support business growth.\nEvaluate production workflows, conduct time studies, and identify opportunities to eliminate waste using Lean manufacturing principles.\nAnalyze manufacturing bottlenecks and resolve production and quality challenges in collaboration with Quality and Production leadership.\nEvaluate shop floor layouts and recommend improvements to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.\nDesign and develop fixtures, equipment, and other solutions to improve ergonomics, safety, and production performance.\nContinuous Improvement & Project Leadership\nLead and support continuous improvement projects, including 5S, sustainability initiatives, value stream mapping, and Kaizen events.\nMaintain a pipeline of improvement opportunities and collaborate with operators and production teams to implement solutions.\nDevelop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.\nResearch and evaluate new technologies and manufacturing methods to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.\nWork cross-functionally to drive projects from concept through implementation and measure results.\nEngineering & Technical Solutions\nUtilize CAD software to support product design, manufacturing layouts, and 2D drawing development.\nApply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to optimize product quality, efficiency, and cost.\nSupport the development and qualification of critical materials and manufacturing processes.\nEvaluate capital equipment and automation opportunities, including ROI and make-versus-buy analysis.\nSupport supplier quality initiatives, including supplier audits, evaluations, and performance scorecards.\n What You'll Bring\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering.\nAt least 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt certification is a plus.\nKnowledge of production practices and manufacturing processes.\nExperience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.\nFamiliarity with shop floor layout software, MRP systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and database tools.\nExperience with machining operations is a plus.\nExperience working with synthetic graphite or similar manufacturing materials is preferred.\nSkills That Will Set You Apart\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.\nAbility to lead projects, manage priorities, and drive improvement initiatives to completion.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills.\nAbility to work effectively with production operators, front-line managers, and leadership.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating across departments and teams.\nTravel Requirements\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%. A valid driver's license and U.S. passport, or the ability to obtain one, are required.\nWorking Environment\nThis position works primarily in an office environment with regular exposure to manufacturing operations. The manufacturing environment may include loud noise, moving mechanical equipment, and fumes or airborne particles.
