We're growing fast and we're profitable.\nJob Summary\nPyyne is seeking a Financial Controller with experience to work out of our NYC office. This is a high-impact role for Pyyne as we grow our global operations and need thorough financial reporting to plan our business.\nA successful candidate in this role will report directly to the COO and will be primarily focused on executing on Financial strategy, modeling, and board-level reporting.\nThis is a role with a high degree of ownership and very little bureaucracy. This is a great opportunity for a strong Assistant Controller, a Senior Accountant ready to own a function, or a Controller at a smaller company.\nResponsibilities\nAccounting and close\nFull-cycle accounting and bookkeeping for our US entity\n\nMonthly and quarterly close, on a predictable calendar\n\nConsolidate reporting from our international entities' local accounting providers\n\nPrepare the close package and supporting schedules for our outside CPA on tax and annual accounts\n\nBilling and collections\nClient invoicing, including multi-workstream and milestone-based arrangements\n\nAccounts receivable and collections\n\nAccounts payable, including contractor and vendor payments\n\nBank and credit card reconciliation\n\nPayroll and benefits administration\nRun US payroll and coordinate with local providers internationally\n\nBenefits administration and enrollment\n\nContractor onboarding and payment administration\n\nCompliance calendar\nTrack and file federal, state, and local registration, filing, and reporting obligations Insurance renewals: keep coverages current and flag when limits look wrong\n\nPull documentation and evidence for audits and compliance reviews, including SOC 2\n\nReporting\nProduce the monthly and quarterly reporting package on a fixed schedule\n\nMaintain the operating metrics dashboard: utilization, DSO, bench cost, revenue per head, engagement margin\n\nMaintain the cash flow forecast model and keep the inputs current (the COO owns the model and the assumptions; you own the accuracy of what goes into it)\n\nAd hoc reporting and analysis for leadership\n\nExpense management\nCorporate card program, expense policy enforcement, and expense tracking\n\nVendor and software spend review\n\nWhat You Bring\nMust Have Skills & Experience\n5+ years in accounting, including time owning or substantially running a monthly close\n\nSolid working knowledge of US GAAP\n\nStrong QuickBooks (or comparable) and genuine spreadsheet skill\n\nExperience with billing and collections in a services business\n\nPayroll experience\n\nComfort operating without a large structured team\n\nYou catch things.
