Turn sustainability ambitions into measurable action

Rotterdam, the Netherlands or Antwerp, Belgium

The energy transition is moving fast. Regulations are evolving, sustainability targets are becoming more ambitious and reliable data is more important than ever. As GHG & Energy Transition Coordinator, you turn these developments into clear actions for Kuwait Petroleum Europe.

You bring together sustainability strategy, GHG data, environmental risks and reporting. You track progress, translate complex requirements into practical solutions and connect teams across different countries and business units.

You get plenty of responsibility and the freedom to take initiative. See opportunities to improve our reporting, data, processes or collaboration? You turn them into action.

Your biggest challenge

You combine sustainability expertise with data, regulation and stakeholder management. This allows you to turn complex environmental requirements into clear actions across Kuwait Petroleum Europe.

  • You coordinate our Environmental Impacts, Risks & Opportunities (IROs) and keep them aligned with CSRD requirements and our Sustainability Strategy.
  • You drive GHG reporting through your knowledge, with a strong focus on Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, and align calculations across our business units.
  • You connect sustainability risks with Enterprise Risk Management and help integrate them into our broader risk framework.
  • You collect, validate and analyse ESG and Energy Transition data, ensuring accurate, traceable and audit-ready information.
  • You translate our ESG Strategy into measurable actions and track progress towards our sustainability goals.
  • You coordinate reporting around CSRD, CSDDD and Energy Transition and translate regulatory developments into clear actions.
  • You improve reporting processes, dashboards and digital tools to make sustainability data easier to collect, monitor and visualise.
  • You connect and advise teams across Kuwait Petroleum Europe, share your expertise and work closely with senior leadership and functions such as Sustainability, Finance, Legal, ERM and Data.

In short: you bring structure to complex sustainability challenges and connect data, regulation and people. This helps Kuwait Petroleum Europe to shape the business strategy and turn its sustainability ambitions into measurable progress.

This is you

You enjoy working with complex sustainability topics, but always keep the bigger picture in mind. You analyse data, connect different perspectives and know how to turn technical or regulatory information into a clear message for colleagues and stakeholders.

You also:

  • Have a bachelor’s and or master’s degree in a technical, business or sustainability-related field.
  • Bring around 3 to 5 years of experience in sustainability reporting, preferably within an international environment.
  • Have knowledge of CSRD, CSDDD and GHG emissions reporting standards.
  • Understand Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and know how to translate sustainability data into meaningful insights.
  • Have experience working with international teams, project groups or task forces, where you take the lead when needed.
  • Build strong relationships with different stakeholders, from business teams and corporate functions to senior leadership and external partners.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently and make complex sustainability topics understandable for different audiences.
  • Take initiative, work independently and look for opportunities to continuously improve processes and ways of working.

What do you get in return?

  • A competitive salary with an extensive benefits package: A mobile phone + subscription, health or hospitalisation insurance, pension plan, holiday pay, year-end bonus, net expense allowance, bonus scheme and at least 36 days of annual leave.
  • Hybrid working: Combine working from home with working from our modern offices in Antwerp or Rotterdam, with the latest tools to work efficiently.
  • A warm and dynamic environment: Join a young team within a certified Baanbrekende Werkgever, with sports activities, clubs, events, family days and our BeWell programme.
  • An impactful role: Work on sustainability and the energy transition in a sector that is evolving rapidly. Your work has visibility and directly contributes to our future direction.
  • An international and diverse environment: Work across different businesses, countries and cultures, giving you plenty of variety and a broad perspective.
  • Close to decision-making: Join a small team with a direct reporting line to top management. Your ideas are heard, and you get the opportunity to make a real impact.
  • Room to develop: Build your expertise through a personal development plan, training and coaching, with opportunities to grow further within the organisation.
