You’ll contribute to the development of scalable data solutions while helping to automate operational processes using modern engineering practices and tooling.\nThis is a great opportunity for someone with a strong grounding in data engineering who enjoys combining hands-on technical delivery with problem solving, optimisation and continuous improvement.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nDeveloping, maintaining and supporting data pipelines and data integration solutions.\nBuilding and optimising ETL/ELT processes to move and transform data from multiple source systems.\nSupporting the ongoing development of data platforms within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.\nAssisting with the design and implementation of scalable and reliable data architectures.\nMonitoring data workloads and identifying opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.\nInvestigating and resolving data quality, integration and performance issues.\nProducing and maintaining clear technical documentation for data solutions and processes.\nSupporting reliable, secure and maintainable data engineering solutions.\nContributing to continuous improvement across the team.\nAbout you\nYou’ll be an analytical and solutions-focused Data Engineer who is comfortable working with cloud-based technologies and modern data platforms.\nWe’re particularly interested in someone who can bring:\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and other Azure data technologies.\nExperience building, supporting or maintaining data pipelines and integration solutions.\nStrong SQL skills and a good understanding of relational databases.\nExperience with PySpark and Python.\nExperience with Azure Functions and Logic Apps.\nExperience using Azure DevOps, GitHub or similar source control platforms.\nExperience with CI/CD deployment practices.\nExperience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services.\nExperience working within Agile delivery environments.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nA good understanding of data engineering principles, ETL/ELT methodologies and cloud security and governance.\nThe ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nQualifications\nYou’ll have a relevant technical degree, apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.\nRelevant professional certifications would be advantageous, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Database, Azure Administration, Azure Development or equivalent AWS or Google Cloud data engineering certifications.\nWhat you’ll bring to QA\nWe’re looking for someone who takes a proactive and collaborative approach and has a genuine interest in cloud technologies and continuous learning.\nYou’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across IT and engineering teams and building effective relationships with stakeholders.
