Our expertise spans a wide range of areas including sensors and radars, image and signal processing, embedded hardware and software, multi-modal AI analytics, wireless communication systems, application software, edge-cloud infrastructure, and functional safety.\nAbout the role\nAs a Mechanical Engineer at Qamcom, you will work with mechanical design and product development of advanced electronic systems, including applications within RF, radio, radar, and other high-tech industries.\nYou will be involved in different stages of the product development process, from early concepts and prototyping to detailed design, verification, and industrialization.\nThe role involves developing mechanical solutions for electronics-intensive products, where factors such as material selection, thermal management, mechanical stability, manufacturability, and integration of electronic components are important considerations.\nYou will collaborate closely with experienced engineers within hardware, RF, software, and systems engineering to develop innovative and technically challenging solutions.\nQualifications\nWe are looking for an experienced and solution-oriented Mechanical Engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of mechanics and electronics.\nYou have a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and enjoy developing solutions where performance, functionality, and manufacturability need to be carefully balanced.\nYou are comfortable working independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams and enjoy taking responsibility for your designs throughout the development process.\nWe believe you have:\nAt least 6 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and product development\n\nStrong experience in 3D CAD design, preferably SolidWorks or Creo\n\nExperience in mechanical design, material selection, and manufacturing methods for technically advanced products\n\nA solid understanding of the product development lifecycle, from concept to production\n\nExperience working with PLM systems\n\nFluency in Swedish and English\n\nValid Swedish work permit\n\nNice to have\nExperience with lightweight mechanical design and structural optimization\n\nExperience with mechanical design for RF, radio, radar, or antenna systems\n\nExperience with thermal management and cooling solutions for electronic systems\n\nBasic understanding of electronics and hardware design\n\nExperience with advanced materials, such as aluminum alloys, composites, or other lightweight materials\n\nKnowledge and experience in FEM analysis\n\nQamcom offers\nAt Qamcom, we foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where experienced professionals and specialists work together on cutting-edge system solutions.
