You’ll work closely with specialist teams, applying excellent engineering standards built on a foundation of safety, reliability, and service.\nReporting to the Line Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Operations Manager, you will carry out maintenance on company aircraft, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time. You’ll oversee quality control for aircraft presentation upon completion of maintenance and prior to release. Compliance with Jetstar’s Safety Management System, training, and regulatory requirements is essential. This role also requires flexibility to work at other ports, including international locations, and to build strong working relationships with contractors and external service providers.\nWe’re hiring for current and upcoming opportunities across multiple key locations:\nSydney - New South Wales\nBrisbane - Queensland\nCairns - Queensland\nGold Coast - Queensland\nWe’re on the hunt for someone who:\nHas completed a Certificate IV in Aeroskills, holds an equivalent trade qualification (preferably under CASA, EASA, CAANZ or UKCAA regulations), or is currently progressing through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) in one of the following streams: Mechanical, Avionics or Structures.\nHolds experience and/or aircraft type ratings on A320, A321 and/or B787 aircraft (desirable).\nHas at least 5 years' post-apprenticeship maintenance experience (desirable). Ideally, in a line maintenance environment. \nDemonstrates excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively manage workload and competing priorities.\nCan work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.\nHas a strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.\nPossesses strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure while managing multiple stakeholders.\nHolds a valid driver's license and is able to obtain an Authority to Drive Airside (ADA) License. \nIs willing and able to obtain and maintain a Qantas Group-issued ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card), including satisfying international criminal history check requirements.\nIs willing and able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment.\nCan commit to a shift work roster, including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays.\nRemuneration on offer: All Jetstar Engineers in Australia are paid under the Jetstar Airways Engineering & Maintenance Enterprise Agreement 2023 which can be referenced HERE.\nYour life at Jetstar is unlike any other:\nLive the travel dream: You and your nominated travel companions can takeoff more with our famous Qantas Group Staff Travel discount.\nMake work feel like a holiday: Join a fun, driven team where work feels like a holiday.
