Qantas (ASX: QAN) is the flag carrier airline of Australia and one of the world's oldest continually operating aviation groups, headquartered in Mascot, Sydney. Founded in 1920 as Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited (QANTAS), the enterprise has grown into Australia's largest domestic and international airline group. The company operates a dual-brand strategy serving two primary customer segments: full-service domestic, international, and regional operations under the core Qantas brand (including QantasLink), and low-cost carrier operations under Jetstar.
  • At Qantas, our teams come together to create new and unique experiences for our customers.
  • A fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that focuses on cutting-edge technology and quality engineering principles.
  • Full-time and permanent position based at our new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide

Join Qantas in our brand-new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide, where you’ll play a key role in shaping high-quality digital experiences that truly meet customer needs. By embedding robust testing strategies and automation practices, you’ll help ensure software reliability, performance, and security. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering seamless experiences that strengthen customer trust and satisfaction.

As a Quality Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to design, automate, and execute testing strategies. With the autonomy to identify areas for improvement, you’ll continuously enhance testing frameworks, tools, and overall quality practices, ensuring systems consistently perform at their best while driving innovation across the platform.

While the tools you will be working on operate behind the scenes, their impact is significant. By enabling reliable and intuitive technology, you’ll empower consultants and contact centre teams to focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your work will ensure every interaction starts from a place of efficiency and confidence, helping create smoother, more meaningful customer conversations.

You’llhave:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering, including hands-on automation testing across service integrations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with BDD, CI, Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Ability to define and execute test strategies that validate end-to-end user journeys, data flows, and system integrations.
  • Ability to implement automated test scripts for service integrations, with a focus on efficiency and repeatability.
  • Proficiency with testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Karate, Postman, and JUnit
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, batch processing, ESB, and point-to-point integrations
  • Experience conducting performance and load testing on integrated services to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills, with experience using tools such as Miro, Jira, and Confluence
