In this role, you will be instrumental in embedding quality engineering practices across the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring our applications perform at the highest standards of reliability, scalability and customer experience.\nWorking within agile squads, you will contribute to both manual and automated testing, strengthen our test frameworks, and collaborate closely with engineers, product owners and stakeholders to deliver innovative and high-quality digital solutions.\nKey Responsibilities and What You’ll Bring\n3+ years' experience in a Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Software Testing role, ideally within Agile delivery environments\nDesign, create and maintain high quality test cases using tools such as Jira Zephyr, applying structured testing practices and attention to detail\nExecute manual and automated testing across frontend and backend systems, ensuring comprehensive end to end coverage and product reliability for customer facing applications\nPerform functional, regression and end to end (E2E) testing, leveraging strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices\nDevelop and maintain automation frameworks and test suites using modern tools such as Playwright or Cypress, contributing to improved coverage, efficiency and continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines\nBuild and maintain robust UI and browser based automated tests that validate real user journeys across customer facing web applications\nPerform cross browser testing using tools such as LambdaTest and BrowserStack\nExperience working with APIs and API testing tools such as REST Assured and Pact (contract testing)\nCollaborate with engineers, business analysts and stakeholders to plan and execute test strategies, including risk identification and mitigation\nContribute to documentation such as test guides, knowledge articles and test data strategies to support quality outcomes\nApply modern quality engineering techniques including BDD practices, coding standards and participation in automation code reviews\nBring strong stakeholder engagement, agile delivery experience and a proactive, detail oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation\nExperience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog desirable\nWhy Qantas?\nAt Qantas, your career can take you further than you imagined.
