You will be heavily engaged with qualifying new vendors, evaluating bids, and negotiating pricing and terms for purchased goods and services. You will also be responsible for tracking purchases, monitoring vendor performance with an emphasis on schedule and quality and maintaining a database of information\nPrincipal Accountabilities\nCompiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.\nMonitors performance of suppliers.\nCompiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.\nEvaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions.\nNegotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.\nReviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up on order placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.\nMay prepare requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages\nExperience and Education Requisites\nMust be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident per ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) guidelines.\nThis position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or a foreign
