In many instances we out-compete those ranges for well-qualified candidates.\nJob Summary\nThe Safety Manager plays a critical role in supporting and executing safety programs across multiple mission-critical construction project sites, primarily throughout the Northern United States. Reporting directly to the Safety Director, this role serves as a field-based safety leader focused on compliance, site inspections, workforce education, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nThis role exists to ensure safe, compliant job sites while also serving as an educational and developmental resource for field teams, helping workers understand not just whatthe safety requirements are, but whythey matter.\nThis role requires flexibility totravel around the US up to 75%.\nEssential Functions\nConduct regular field safety inspections across assigned project sites, prioritizing locations with recurring safety concerns.\nEnsure job sites are compliant with OSHA, EM 385, NFPA 70E, and company safety policies. \nSupport incident and accident investigations in partnership with the Safety Director, including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking. \nReview and audit field-generated safety documentation for compliance and accuracy. \nAssist with onboarding-related safety training assignments and ongoing workforce training compliance. \nEducate field teams on proper safety procedures, PPE usage, and best practices, emphasizing continuous improvement. \nSupport development, implementation, and auditing of written safety programs (e.g., LOTO, Fall Protection, Confined Space). \nPartner with the Safety Director to report site-level findings, trends, and recommendations. \nTravel to project sites (approximately 75%), which include short-term site visits (1-3 days). \nPosition Requirements\n5+ years of experience in construction safety and/or critical infrastructure construction safety. \nOSHA 30 certification (required). \nOSHA 510, EM 385, and NFPA 70E certifications - or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment. \nStrong working knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1926 standards and General Duty requirements. \nExperience with: \nIncident reporting, inspections, and investigations. \nJob Hazard Analyses (JHAs/JSAs) and exposure assessments. \nRoot cause analysis and corrective action tracking. \nSafety audits and regulatory compliance. \n\nProficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). \nAbility to clearly communicate safety expectations in the field and build trust with project teams.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience developing and delivering safety training programs. \nBackground instructing, supervising, or mentoring teams on safety practices. \nFamiliarity with safety standards in government, municipal, or mission-critical environments. \nExperience reviewing subcontractor safety compliance and documentation. \nPhysical Demands\nThe following physical demands must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
