This role offers the opportunity to work across the full development lifecycle, contributing to the design, development, maintenance, and optimisation of enterprise applications within a mainframe environment. \nKey Responsibilities \nDevelop, maintain, and enhance applications within mainframe environments.\nDesign, code, test, and implement solutions using COBOL and DB2.\nAnalyse business and technical requirements, translating them into effective solutions.\nPerform application enhancements, maintenance, and troubleshooting.\nOptimise DB2 queries and database solutions.\nInvestigate and resolve production issues and system defects.\nParticipate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance activities.\nCollaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and delivery teams.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with standards.\nKey Requirements- Proven experience as a Mainframe Developer.- Strong hands-on COBOL development experience.- Solid DB2 expertise.- Understanding of mainframe development environments and SDLC processes.- Experience in application maintenance, enhancements, and production support.- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills. \nAdvantageous- Experience with additional mainframe technologies and tools.- Background in financial services or large enterprise environments.- Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies.- Relevant IT
