client based in Bryanston is currently looking for a Network Operations Shift Manager to join their team on a contract basis. \nIT / FINANCE \nResponsibilities \nOversee 24/7/365 monitoring of tower power systems, passive infrastructure and environmental alarms.\nMonitor, identify, investigate and escalate outages, theft incidents, generator faults and power failures.\nLead P1/P2 incident responses and act as Incident Commander during major service-impacting incidents.\nEnsure accurate incident logging, ticket creation, prioritisation and escalation in line with SLA requirements.\nProvide Tier 2 technical support and diagnose escalated power and infrastructure-related issues.\nCoordinate shift teams, including shift planning, rosters, leave schedules and resource allocation.\nEnsure effective shift handovers and clear communication of outstanding incidents and operational issues.\nWork closely with field teams, energy service partners, TowerCo's and vendors to ensure timely incident resolution.\nManage stakeholder communication during incidents, including MNO customers and internal teams.\nEnsure compliance with NOC standard operating procedures (SOPs), change controls, maintenance windows and site access protocols.\nPrepare shift performance reports covering outages, MTTR trends, SLA risks and operational performance.\nMaintain accurate, complete and audit-ready incident records and documentation.\nIdentify recurring incidents and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and improve service availability.\nQualifications & Experience \n3-5 years' experience in NOC operations, preferably within a TowerCo or telecommunications environment.\nExperience coordinating shifts and operational teams in a 24/7/365 operational environment.\nRelevant qualification in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications or Operations.\nStrong technical background in network operations, power systems and infrastructure monitoring.\nExperience with hybrid power systems, including solar PV, BESS, diesel generators (DG), grid power, ATS/AMF, rectifiers and -48V systems.\nGood understanding of tower passive infrastructure, including towers, shelters, cooling and security systems.\nExperience using monitoring systems, OSS, telemetry dashboards and SNMP tools.\nExperience managing incidents, escalations and service restoration within SLA requirements.\nExperience working with TowerCo's, energy service companies (ESCo's), vendors and field operations teams.\nITIL certification or training will be advantageous.\nCompetencies \nStrong technical knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, tower operations and hybrid power systems.\nExcellent incident management, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nStrong leadership and team coordination abilities.\nAbility to make quick and effective decisions under pressure.\nExcellent organisational and time-management skills.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nHigh emotional intelligence and conflict management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.\nCustomer-focused approach with a strong
