client based in Cape Town is currently looking for an Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join their team on a permanent basis.\n\nIT / FINANCE\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\n• Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field \n\n• Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in software development within enterprise environments \n\n• Strong experience in: \n\n Oracle Forms \n\n Oracle PL/SQL \n\n XML, SOAP, WCF, RESTful APIs \n\n HTML5, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, PHP \n\n Database development and Message Queues \n\n Azure DevOps, GIT, and AWS Web Services \n\n• Solid relational database management systems (RDBMS) experience including Oracle and PostgreSQL \n\n• Exposure to MS SQL Server and MySQL would be advantageous \n\n• Experience working within Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps environments \n\n• FinTech industry experience advantageous \n\n• Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimise, and maintain complex software systems \n\n• Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to technical leadership initiatives\n\nResponsibilities\n\n Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-quality software solutions aligned to business requirements\n\n Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and system issues effectively\n\n Optimise existing applications and codebases for improved performance, scalability, and reliability\n\n Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions\n\n Develop and maintain integrations using APIs, web services, and messaging technologies\n\n Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and secure development principles\n\n Conduct unit testing and support test automation initiatives\n\n Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA teams, and IT Operations to deliver successful solutions\n\n Document technical specifications, development processes, and system enhancements\n\n Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives\n\n Mentor and support junior developers through knowledge sharing and technical guidance\n\n Contribute
