client based in Cape Town is currently looking for a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join their team on a contract basis. \nIT / FINANCE \nResponsibilities \nLead and coordinate delivery across multiple teams, ensuring alignment between Product, Technology, Design, Operations, market teams and vendors.\nTranslate product priorities into integrated delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements and release commitments.\nFacilitate PI Planning, ART syncs, System Demos and Inspect & Adapt workshops.\nTrack delivery progress, features, risks, dependencies and impediments, escalating issues where necessary.\nManage delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, capacity and governance requirements.\nImprove delivery flow, DevSecOps practices and continuous delivery processes.\nCoordinate software releases, hardware requirements, certification and market rollouts.\nManage vendor delivery, resources, scope, contractual milestones and acceptance processes.\nSupport pilots, phased deployments, go-live decisions and post-launch stabilisation.\nProvide regular reporting on delivery progress, risks, forecasts, recovery actions and decisions required.\nCoach teams, Scrum Masters and stakeholders in Agile practices and servant leadership.\nDrive continuous improvement, innovation and customer satisfaction through feedback, lessons learned and delivery reviews.\nQualifications & Experience \nDegree in STEM or equivalent working experience.\nRelevant Certified Scrum Master qualification, such as SAFe Scrum Master or equivalent.\n3-5 years' experience as a Delivery Manager and/or Release Train Engineer (RTE).\nMinimum 5 years' Agile experience, including working with international suppliers and/or markets.\nExperience in mobile payments or financial payment services.\nExperience delivering mobile applications, platform integrations and third-party technology solutions.\nExperience coordinating multiple delivery teams, external vendors and stakeholders across markets.\nProven track record of successful product delivery and working with business and IT teams.\nDesirable: \nSAFe 6.0 Certified Release Train Engineer.\nITIL Service Management qualification or experience.\nExperience using JIRA and Confluence.\nExperience implementing Agile or DevOps processes within SAFe or other frameworks.\nExperience delivering SoftPOS, POS devices or solutions combining hardware and software.\nExperience with merchant platforms, business management tools, ERP or inventory integrations.\nExperience managing vendor delivery, contractual milestones and acceptance processes.\nCompetencies \nStrong Agile and SAFe knowledge, including Scrum and software development lifecycle practices.\nExcellent delivery management, planning and coordination skills.\nStrong leadership and servant leadership approach.\nExcellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.\nStrong data analysis and numerical skills.\nExcellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.\nStrong customer focus and understanding of customer experience and user-centred design.\nAbility to manage vendors, resources, scope and delivery commitments.\nAbility to work proactively in a demanding, fast-paced environment.\nStrong collaboration skills and
