{"id":3907343,"url":"https://alion.io/job/qe-services-systems-analyst","title":"Systems Analyst","company":{"id":4497049,"name":"QE Services","domain":null,"url":"https://alion.io/company/qe-services","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":true,"employer_type":"agency","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":null,"truth_index":null},"role":"Analytics","role_family":"Analytics","seniority":null,"employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["South Africa"],"countries":["ZA"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Agile","optional":false},{"name":"Waterfall","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-28T15:01:07Z","employer_posted_date":null,"last_verified_at":"2026-10-28T15:01:07Z","board_verified":false,"closed_at":null,"days_open":9,"trust":{"level":"not_scored","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":9},"description":"Introduction\nSystem Analyst – Contract – Hybrid \n\nWe are seeking an experienced System Analyst to join a delivery-focused technology team within a leading financial services organisation.\n\nThis is a 12-month contract role based in Cape Town, offering an opportunity to work within a collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting digital and technology initiatives.\n\nThe ideal candidate will be a hands-on, systems-oriented professional who can analyse business and technical requirements, understand system dependencies and integrations, and translate requirements into clear technical specifications for delivery teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSystems Analysis & Requirements\n\n Analyse and document business, functional and technical requirements.\n\n Translate business requirements into detailed system specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.\n\n Analyse existing systems, applications and processes to identify gaps, dependencies and improvement opportunities.\n\n Define system functionality, business rules, data requirements and integration requirements.\n\n Work closely with developers, architects, product owners and technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered.\n\nSystem Integration & Technical Analysis\n\n Analyse system interfaces, APIs, integrations and data flows.\n\n Document end-to-end system processes and integration points.\n\n Identify system dependencies, impacts and potential technical risks.\n\n Support solution design by providing detailed analysis of current and future-state systems.\n\n Investigate system issues and assist delivery teams with root-cause analysis and resolution.\n\nStakeholder Engagement\n\n Facilitate requirements sessions, workshops and working sessions with business and technical stakeholders.\n\n Act as the link between business users and technical delivery teams.\n\n Communicate technical and system concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\n Manage and clarify requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.\n\nDelivery & Agile\n\n Support Agile delivery teams with backlog refinement, sprint planning and requirements clarification.\n\n Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA and Architects throughout the delivery lifecycle.\n\n Support system testing, user acceptance testing and defect resolution where required.\n\n Ensure system requirements and documentation remain aligned throughout delivery.\n\n Contribute to digital transformation, system implementation and platform modernisation initiatives.\n\nKey Requirements\n\n 5+ years' experience as a System Analyst, Systems Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.\n\n Strong experience in systems analysis within complex enterprise environments.\n\n Financial services experience is required;
