You'll work at the intersection of production software, algorithms, and quantum computing, collaborating closely with researchers to turn complex ideas and prototypes into robust, scalable production systems.\nWhat You'll Do\nBridge research and production environments, turning research prototypes and algorithmic concepts into production-quality software. \nOwn software components end-to-end, from design and architecture through implementation, testing, performance optimization, and productionization. \nImplement and integrate complex algorithms in close collaboration with research teams. \nDevelop and maintain company code across two key areas: research support systems that enhance our researchers' capabilities, and core product development code. \nDesign software that is robust, scalable, maintainable, and correct across performance-sensitive and edge-case-heavy scenarios. \nWhy is This Role Unique?\nCore software engineering - The role is centered on software architecture, implementation quality, algorithms, performance, scalability, robustness, and maintainability. UI, database-heavy work, and DevOps are minimal to non-existent. \nAlgorithmic depth - Solve complex computational and mathematically intensive engineering problems, not just standard backend challenges. \nQuantum computing focus - Work on emerging quantum computing technology.
