You will play a critical role in shaping the database architecture, optimizing queries, and implementing effective database solutions in alignment with business goals.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\nDatabase Development & Design : \n\n- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of efficient database structures and data models.\n\n- Work closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable, high-performance databases.\n\n- Review and optimize database schema, relationships, and structures for improved performance.\n\nDatabase Development : \n\n- Design and write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, different types of indexes and triggers to support application development using RDBMS and NoSQL.\n\n- Implement performance tuning and query optimization techniques.\n\n- Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, transformation, and loading from multiple sources.\n\nDatabase Administration : \n\n- Assist in the overall administration of RDBMS databases and NoSQL databases, including database configuration, replication, sharding and disaster recovery strategies.\n\n- Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.\n\nTeam Leadership & Mentoring : \n\n- Lead a team of database developers, providing guidance on best practices and technical expertise.\n\n- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust database solutions.\n\n- Ensure that junior developers follow coding standards and practices.\n\nData Security & Compliance : \n\n- Enforce data security measures, ensuring that sensitive data is properly handled and compliant with regulatory standards.\n\n- Implement user roles, permissions, and auditing within database to control access.\n\nCollaboration & Stakeholder Management : \n\n- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver database solutions that align with business objectives.\n\n- Prepare and deliver presentations on database solutions and best practices.\n\nPerformance Optimization : \n\n- Continuously evaluate and optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks and improving query performance.\n\n- Use tools like SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, and Indexing Strategies to enhance database performance.\n\nDocumentation & Reporting : \n\n- Create detailed documentation on database designs, structures, and processes.\n\n- Provide regular status reports to leadership regarding ongoing database initiatives.\n\nMandatory Skills & Qualifications : \n\nExperience : \n\n- Minimum 15+ years of experience in Database Development and Database Design, with a strong track record in Database Development - preferable PostgreSQL / MS SQL Server / MySQL and MongoDB.\n\n- Extensive experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.\n\n- Strong knowledge of database normalization, indexing, and query optimization techniques.\n\n- Proven experience in database architecture design and building scalable databases.\n\nTechnical Skills : \n\n- SQL Server, including Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS) and Analysis Services (SSAS).\n\n- PostgreSQL with extensions like dblink, pg_cron, foreign data wrapper, etc.\n\n- MongoDB with sharding technique, different types of indexes.\n\n- Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
