Join us as an Associate Electromagnetic Scientist at our Farnborough site, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.\nThe Role\n As an Associate Electromagnetic Scientist, you'll help develop innovative technologies that enhance our understanding of how electromagnetic energy interacts with materials, systems and platforms across the land, air and maritime domains.\nDay-to-day, you'll work as part of our RF Signatures Team, supporting a diverse portfolio of research and customer programmes. You'll combine computational modelling, laboratory testing and scientific analysis to solve complex technical problems and develop novel electromagnetic solutions. This is a unique opportunity to work across the full development lifecycle, from concept development and simulation through to testing, measurement and analysis.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nDelivering electromagnetic modelling, simulation and analysis activities across a range of projects\nConducting laboratory-based RF measurements, material characterisation and experimental testing\nAnalysing and interpreting technical data using scientific software and tools\nProducing high-quality technical reports and presenting findings to customers and stakeholders\nSupporting the development of advanced materials and technologies for electromagnetic signature management\nContributing to trials, testing programmes and collaborative research activities\nEssential experience of the Electromagnetic Scientist:\nA strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, including fields, waves, propagation and scattering\nExperience using electromagnetic modelling or simulation tools such as CST, COMSOL or similar software\nExperience applying analytical, modelling or simulation techniques to solve technical problems\nExperience collecting, processing and analysing scientific or engineering data\nAbility to communicate complex technical concepts through reports and presentations\nExperience working within a scientific, engineering or research environment\nEssential qualifications for the Electromagnetic Scientist:\nDegree in Physics, Applied Physics, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics or a closely related discipline\nEligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)\nBritish Citizenship\nPhD not essential but certainly desirable\nWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.\nThis role is 37 hours per week based at our Farnborough site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
