Join us as an Associate IT Engineer at our Farnborough site, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.\nThe Role\n As an Associate IT Engineer, you will join a strong team of engineers providing technical support to IT projects and programmes working with project managers and technical leads to deliver IT solutions.\nDay-to-day, you could be involved with all stages of the lifecycle of an IT project from conception through to in-service applying your skills in tasks such as Design, Implementation, Integration and Test and Evaluation.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nDelivering Hardware/Software builds and Systems Installation and Integration\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with customers\nDelivering outputs and providing pragmatic solutions which may include Technical presentations, Technical documentation, Test plans and reports, user guides and work instructions and Design or process documents\nUndertaking tasks with moderate guidance\nEssential experience of the Associate IT Engineer:\nPrevious experience of working in an IT engineering role\nThe ability to work with a broad and comprehensive range of concepts and principles within the areas of IT\nBroad experience of Windows Client/Server Infrastructure, Networking, Virtualisation (Hyper-V) and Linux\nEssential qualifications for the Associate IT Engineer:\nA first degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent on the job experience\nWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.\nThis role is 37 hours per week based at our Farnborough site and is a fully on-site role.\nFarnborough\nAt our Farnborough site exciting work takes place at our state-of-the-art facility, with high-energy laser technologies, our 5m pressurised wind tunnel which has a simulation capability that is unique in the UK and our large research and development projects is a real hub of creativity, research and innovation.
