Join us as a Associate Project Manager at our Farnborough facility, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.\nThe Role\n The Maritime Training, Tactics, Test and Evaluation Transformation Inter Disciplinary Team (MTET IDT) are taking on new business from the MOD to grow our Maritime Ranging capabilities, and we are seeking a Associate Project Manager to assist with managing the portfolio of projects which make up the Submerged Electro-Magnetic Ranging (SMEMR) Programme and assist with the bid work as we put together our proposal for the BUTEC 24/7 Surge Programme.\nYou will be responsible for assisting the management of a geographically dispersed team. There are several stakeholders you will work with to achieve this and ensure the infrastructure and ranges are capable, available and safe.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nDevelopment and maintenance of positive engagement with project customers, partners and suppliers\nOperating in a Safe & Secure manner\nEmbedding a culture in line with the QinetiQ values\nDelivery of the project outputs, to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash and sales)\nEnsuring project members operate in line with the Operating Framework & functional competency management requirements; and have appropriate personal objectives recorded in the QinetiQ performance management system\nResolving conflicts (including prioritisation calls) within the project and collaborating across QinetiQ\nEssential experience of the Associate Project Manager:\nExperience gained, typically rather than necessarily, between 1-3 years of project management, or working in a related function that successfully delivered support to complex projects\nExperience delivering defence, engineering and/or IT projects\nDesirable qualifications for the Associate Project Manager :\nDegree (or equivalent experience) in appropriate discipline\nHold a recognised PM qualification (APM Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) or Prince2)\nExperience in Defence, Aerospace or other closely related sectors - Desirable\nWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.\nThis role is 37 hours per week and is based out of our Farnborough facility on a hybrid working pattern of 3 days per week on average, onsite.\nFarnborough\nAt our Farnborough site exciting work takes place at our state-of-the-art facility, with high-energy laser technologies, our 5m pressurised wind tunnel which has a simulation capability that is unique in the UK and our large research and development projects is a real hub of creativity, research and innovation.
