Join us as a Cloud Engineer at either our Malvern or Farnboroughsite, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.\nThe Role\n As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll be a forefront of enabling secure, scalable and mission-critical cloud capabilities within our Cloud Engineering team providing critical support across public, private or hybrid environments.\nDay-to-day, you’ll work collaboratively with engineering teams to design, deploy, and automate solutions that help deliver next-generation services across complex operational environments.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nBuilding and configuring cloud services to meet business and application requirements\nMonitoring cloud environments for performance, availability, cost optimisation, and security compliance\nDeveloping and maintaining infrastructure as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates\nAutomating deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention\nImplementing and enforcing cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption and network security\nWorking closely with development, operations, and security teams to enable smooth application deployments\n\nEssential experience of the Cloud Engineer :\nPrevious experience in designing, deploying, and managing solutions in AWS\nProven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform\nPractical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools\nFamiliarity with networking concepts (DNS, VPN, load balancers, firewalls, routing)\nStrong familiarity with AWS services\nEssential qualifications for the Cloud Engineer :\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)\nWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.\nThis role is 37 hours per week based at either our Malvern or Farnborough site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.\nMalvern\nThe Malvern facility is noted for its work in electronic warfare, surveillance and complex system integration, contributing significantly to the UK’s defence capabilities.
