Join us as a Project Manager within the Estates team, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.\nThe Role\n The Estates Project Manager will lead the delivery of allocated QinetiQ Estates projects UK-wide to ensure a high level of service delivery.\nDay to day, you will hold responsibility for the full project management lifecycle from planning through to execution on a variety of projects. These will vary from general building maintenance and refurbishment through to more technical requirements/repairs and even new build construction.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nOrganise the Estates projects, the project team and its delivery\nIntegrate the project team within the business and ensuring that a health and safety culture is embedded within the team\nDefine and maintain under review the overall aims and objectives of the project, together with their relative priorities, and the overall scope of the project\nDefine and get agreement of a budget (Business Case approval), delivering the project within this budget and managing and reporting progress against an agreed cost plan\nManage the activities of the external consultants, including the management of their appointments, via appointed procurement team\nManage project documentation, including change control\nEssential experience of the Project Manager :\nWorking knowledge of RIBA Stages\nWorking knowledge of Building Regulations\nWorking knowledge of the Construction, Design Management (CDM) Regulations\nWorking knowledge of NEC 3 contracts\n3 years plus experience of building teams to deliver construction projects\nDesirable qualifications for the Project Manager:\nEssential - a professional construction qualification in the form of HND/HNC, degree, accreditation (APM) or chartered status\nWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.\nThis role is 37 hours per week and can be based out of our Farnborough, Malvern or Portsmouth facilities with an average attendance of 3 days per week onsite.\nFarnborough\nAt our Farnborough site exciting work takes place at our state-of-the-art facility, with high-energy laser technologies, our 5m pressurised wind tunnel which has a simulation capability that is unique in the UK and our large research and development projects is a real hub of creativity, research and innovation. It is dedicated to research and development, ensuring that complex systems are designed, integrated, and tested effectively to meet operational requirements. The facility utilises sophisticated modelling and simulation techniques to analyse and predict performance.\nMalvern\nThe Malvern facility is noted for its work in electronic warfare, surveillance and complex system integration, contributing significantly to the UK’s defence capabilities.
