We deliver mission-critical services and systems to Defence, national security, and essential industry.\nOur determination to deliver and improve today, and anticipate and improve tomorrow, makes QinetiQ a very exciting and rewarding place to work and learn.\nIf you're driven by purpose, passionate about solving complex problems, and ready to make a real impact - there’s never been a better time to join us.\nWith a presence in the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Canada, and Germany, we bring global expertise to local challenges, helping build Australia’s sovereign industrial capability for the future.\nBased in Nowra, NSW we are excited to invite applications from experienced logistics professionals who will be responsible for the coordination and control of logistics activities supporting Defence-owned and QinetiQ-owned assets under the Maritime Aviation Support Services (MASS) contract.\nReporting to the Program Manager (MASS), the Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining operational readiness by ensuring assets, equipment and logistics support activities are managed in accordance with Defence regulations, airworthiness requirements, contractual obligations and QinetiQ procedures.\nThe opportunity\nAs Logistics Coordinator, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:\nCoordinating the induction, tracking and logistical control of Defence-owned and QinetiQ-owned assets managed under the MASS contract\nMaintaining accurate inventory, asset and warehousing records within approved logistics systems\nCoordinating the receipt, storage, issue and return of equipment, parts and consumables\nMonitoring stock levels and initiating replenishment activities as required\nConducting stocktakes and supporting inventory audits to ensure asset accountability\nUtilising Defence logistics systems and other approved asset management systems to maintain inventory and asset records\nEnsuring logistics documentation is completed accurately and maintained in accordance with Defence contractual requirements\nSupporting Defence flying operations by ensuring required equipment and assets are available and serviceable\nPreparing logistics reports relating to inventory, stock control, work order status and asset accountability\nParticipating in audits, inspections and continuous improvement activities\nPromoting and participating in a strong safety culture\nTo be successful in the position of Logistics Coordinator you will need to bring with you:\nCertificate III or higher qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Defence Logistics or a related discipline\nExperience in logistics, inventory management, warehousing or supply support operations\nExperience maintaining inventory and asset records within logistics management systems\nKnowledge of Defence logistics processes or experience working within a highly regulated operational environment\nStrong organisational, problem solving and administration skills\nSound computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office applications\nExcellent collaboration and teamwork capability across different functions\nA high level of written and verbal communication skills\nExperience supporting Defence aviation, aircraft maintenance, ALSE or GSE operations or previous experience working within a Defence sustainment contract environment will be highly regarded.\nDue to the nature of the role, applicants must hold an Australian Defence security clearance, NV1 minimum or have the ability to obtain one.\nWhilst applications must be made online, confidential enquiries are welcome and may be directed to Roz Byrne, People Partner via email; \nApplications will close on 3rd November 2026\nAs the defence industry in Australia grows, it is an exciting time to join QinetiQ.
