The Production Operator is responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, and ensuring the quality of the final output. Attention to detail, technical skills, and commitment to safety are crucial to maintaining our high standards of production.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAssemble products accurately and efficiently according to established guidelines, build instructions and drawings.\n\nTest final systems and sub-assemblies under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, or competent Production Operator.\n\nInspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.\n\nMonitor the production process and conduct regular quality checks.\n\nCollaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets.\n\nPerform routine maintenance on machinery and report any defects or issues.\n\nKeep the work area clean and organized.\n\nAssist in training new Production Operators, if required.\n\nAdhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.\n\nAssist Engineering with the creation of acceptance test documentation, engineering memorandums and review of draft drawings and documentation.\n\nSupport incoming inspections to support the ISO-9001 Quality Management System.\n\nEnsure compliance with QinetiQ values, ISO standards, and internal policies.\n\nThis role may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving business priorities and may include additional responsibilities as required.\n\nSkill Requirements:\nStrong Mechanical aptitude is required to conduct integration and address identified issues.\n\nQuality assurance skills to ensure attention to detail during receipt, initial inspection and ongoing quality assurance through testing procedures.\n\nStrong written and verbal communications\n\nStrong work ethic and ability to work under high stress and tight schedules.\n\nWhat You Bring\nHigh School Diploma or Equivalent.\n\nMechanically inclined.\n\nAdditional desirable assets include:\nPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.\n\nAbility to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.\n\nStrong work ethic and ability to work under high stress and tight schedules.\n\nHigh attention to detail\n\nOperate with flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities.\n\nSecurity\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada and meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the Government of Canada security clearance required for the position\nMust be eligible for and maintain a clear background check, including criminal record screening, as required for security clearance\nWhy QinetiQ?\nWe offer a high-performing, inclusive work environment where you can thrive, contribute meaningfully, and be your authentic self.
