The role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages project risks and stakeholders, and applies established project governance and methodologies to achieve customer and organizational objectives.\nDevelop, maintain, and manage integrated project plans and schedules, ensuring delivery against approved scope, cost, quality, and schedule commitments.\n\nManage project deliverables against contractual requirements, milestones, acceptance criteria, and customer commitments, escalating potential delivery impacts as required.\n\nCoordinate cross-functional teams, including commercial, engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and support functions.\n\nTrack project performance using appropriate tools and KPIs, escalating risks and variances as needed.\n\nDevelop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, schedules, risk registers, and status reports.\n\nSupport proposal and bid activities by contributing to project plans, estimates, and schedules.\n\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.\n\nEnsure compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and security requirements, particularly those specific to the defence industry.\n\nMonitor and control project budgets, forecasts, costs, and financial performance, identifying variances and implementing or escalating corrective actions as required.\n\nManage project change control processes, ensuring impacts to scope, schedule, and cost are assessed, approved, and communicated.\n\nLead project closeout activities, including completion of deliverables, lessons learned, financial closure, and transition of outstanding actions.\n\nIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement in project delivery processes.\n\nIdentify, assess, track, and manage project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID), developing mitigation and recovery actions and escalating where required.\n\nManage stakeholder engagement and expectations across internal and external groups\n\nSupport and adhere to project governance frameworks, including PLF, stage gates and reporting requirements.\n\nSkill Requirements:\nStrong knowledge and practical application of traditional, Agile, and hybrid project management methodologies.\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\n\nDemonstrated ability to engage, influence, and maintain effective relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders\n\nAbility to work flexibly to meet changing customer and business needs\n\nProficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools, including Project Insight and Jira.\n\nFamiliarity with change management principles and leading through transformation (desirable)\n\nWhat You Bring\nEducation/Work Experience Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in business management, Engineering, or related field from a recognized institution (or equivalent work experience).\n\n3-5 years of progressively responsible project management experience, including demonstrated experience independently managing project scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholder requirements.\n\nAdditional Desirable Assets\nProject management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, or equivalent is considered an asset.\n\nStrong understanding of project governance, risk management, and cost/schedule control\n\nExperience working within a structured PMO and project governance environment.\n\nExperience in defence, aerospace, uncrewed systems, or other highly regulated industries, with an understanding of defence customers, markets, and operating environments, is desirable.\n\nTravel Requirements\nThis role may require flexibility to support off-site program activities, including customer and vendor engagement, project meetings, coordination and witnessing of field trials, test activities, and other delivery requirements, with travel as required\n\nTravel includes day trips, overnight stays, or extended assignments.\n\nTravel may be planned or occur on short notice, depending on operational requirements.\n\nWhile travelling, employees may be required to work flexible or extended hours, including adapting to different time zones.\n\nEmployees are required to maintain a valid passport and any necessary visas, security clearances, or other travel documentation relevant to assigned travel.\n\nSecurity\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada and meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the Government of Canada security clearance required for the position\nMust be eligible for and maintain a clear background check, including criminal record screening, as required for security clearance\nWhy QinetiQ?\nWe offer a high-performing, inclusive work environment where you can thrive, contribute meaningfully, and be your authentic self.
