Join us as a Senior Cloud Engineer at our London customer site, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.\nThe Role\nAs a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering secure cloud capabilities that support critical national security missions.\nDay-to-day, you'll work as part of a growing cloud engineering team, designing, building and supporting AWS-based environments for highly secure customer programmes. You'll work closely with technical leads, architects and customer stakeholders to deliver resilient cloud infrastructure, automate deployments and enable the migration of applications and services into AWS environments.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nDesigning, implementing and supporting secure AWS cloud environments\nDelivering infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code using Terraform\nSupporting the migration and hosting of applications and workloads within AWS platforms\nMonitoring, maintaining and optimising cloud services to ensure performance, resilience and security\nWorking closely with customer stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions\nContributing to technical documentation, testing activities and continuous service improvement\nEssential experience of the Senior Cloud Engineer:\nProven experience working as a Cloud Engineer with at least three years' experience in AWS environments\nStrong understanding of AWS services including networking, security and platform services\nExperience developing and managing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform\nExperience using scripting languages such as Python or Shell for automation activities\nExperience delivering cloud projects within secure, regulated or mission-critical environments\nExperience working within Agile delivery teams and collaborating with technical stakeholders\nEssential qualifications for the Senior Cloud Engineer:\nActive eDV (Enhanced Developed Vetting) clearance\nAWS Certification (Associate level or equivalent experience)\nRelevant technical qualification, degree or equivalent industry experience\nWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.\nThis role is 37 hours per week based at our customers London site 5 days per week.\n\nPlease note that all applicants for this role must hold eDV Clearance.\nUKSV National Security Vetting Solution: guidance for applicants - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)\nOur Recruitment Process:\nAt QinetiQ we are committed to building an inclusive, accessible and welcoming workplace where everyone feels valued and supported.
