Join us as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at our Malvern site, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.\nThe Role\n As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be working within a team that develops software for innovative electronics systems working closely with specialists from across a number of disciplines.\nDay-to-day, you’ll be working throughout the engineering lifecycle applying rigorous engineering practices; analysing, designing, implementing, testing, supporting and maintaining solutions that solve mission-critical problems of our customers.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nBeing responsible to the Project Design Authority for software development and related software engineering activities\nCommunicating ideas with multiple stakeholders and customers at all levels\nInnovation in the application/integration of digital hardware technologies to build novel embedded systems\nSolving technically challenging problems from rapid developments to full scale system developments\nEssential experience of the Senior Embedded Software Enginee r:\nExtensive experience developing in C and/or C++\nThe ability to work in rigorous engineering environments using configuration management and change management processes and tools\nKnowledge and experience of the specification, design and implementation of complex software solutions\nPrevious experience developing for embedded platforms, interfacing to on-board FPGA’s would be an advantage\nThe ability to design software using UML and working with test tools\nEssential qualifications for the Senior Embedded Software Engineer:\nA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths or demonstrable equivalent experience\nWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.\nThis role is 37 hours per week based at our Malvern site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.\nThe Malvern facility is noted for its work in electronic warfare, surveillance and complex system integration, contributing significantly to the UK’s defence capabilities.
