Join us as a Senior Platform Engineer at our Malvernsite, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.\nThe Role\n As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, development and delivery of secure, mission-critical IT infrastructure supporting highly classified customer environments.\nDay-to-day, you'll work alongside project managers, architects and engineering teams to design and deliver secure server and network infrastructure solutions. You'll provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and fit for purpose while supporting some of the UK's most challenging national security programmes.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nDesigning secure infrastructure and platform solutions for highly classified environments\nProviding technical leadership and guidance across delivery teams and engineering disciplines\nProducing high-level and detailed technical designs, delivery plans and supporting documentation\nSupporting the integration of server, virtualisation, networking and security technologies\nEnsuring solutions comply with relevant technical, security and engineering standards\nSupporting customer engagements, bids and business-winning activities\nEssential experience of the Senior Platform Engineer:\nActive eDV clearance\nStrong background in enterprise server and infrastructure technologies\nExperience designing and delivering complex networked IT solutions\nKnowledge of virtualisation technologies such as VMware and associated infrastructure platforms\nExperience producing technical architecture and design documentation\nAbility to engage effectively with customers, stakeholders and multidisciplinary engineering teams\nEssential qualifications for the Senior Platform Engineer:\nDegree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience\nDemonstrable experience delivering complex IT infrastructure solutions within secure environments\nWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.\nThis role is 37 hours per week based at our Malvern site with a minimum average site attendance of five days per week. The Malvern facility is noted for its work in electronic warfare, surveillance and complex system integration, contributing significantly to the UK’s defence capabilities.
