Candidates for the ERT Lead role should expect to:\nComply with and enforce Health and Safety policies and procedures.\nParticipate in an On- Call roster.\nTravel with short notice and work within a dynamic shift schedule during on-duty periods.\nCoordinate response personnel and equipment including associated administrative duties.\nSelect and/or develop defensive and offensive response strategies that ensure the safety and well-being of personnel while protecting client property and the environment.\nParticipate in ongoing training and team development.\nMentor and support ERT members\nPosition Requirements:\nAB Drivers license\nNFPA 472 Technician level certification and/or related industry experience\nNFPA 472 Hazardous Materials Technician (required)\nConfined Space Entry/ Rescue certification (required)\nRope Rescue Technician Level (required)\nNFPA 472 Tank car/ Tank truck Specialist (required)\n\nPreference will be given to candidates possessing knowledge and/or experience relating to:\nChemical handling\nHazardous Waste and Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations\nPersonal protective equipment\nSpill response techniques\nIncident Command System/Incident Management System\nLiquid and solid product transfers\nIndustrial applications such as working with and around heavy equipment, excavation, working at heights, working in and around confined spaces, use of pumps, and use of select instrumentation such as gas detection and metering.\nAccommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process as well as part of employment with QM Environmental.\nThis position is being posted to meet a current operational requirement.\nPlease note that this hiring process does not use artificial intelligence (AI) in any stage of screening, assessing, or selecting applicants.
