You will work closely with Agile product teams across mobile banking, digital banking, corporate banking, and customer insights to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that support millions of banking users.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time processing using Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, and related technologies.\nBuild and evolve enterprise data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with BigQuery as a core data warehouse/lakehouse solution.\nDevelop robust data ingestion, transformation, data quality, and serving layers to support digital banking applications, customer analytics, and personalized banking experiences.\nDesign and implement scalable enterprise data models using Data Vault 2.0, medallion architecture, or other modern data modeling approaches.\nDevelop and optimize streaming pipelines to process banking transactions, mobile application events, and customer behavioral data with high throughput and low latency.\nImplement data governance, lineage, security, and compliance practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability in a regulated banking environment.\nOptimize data pipelines for performance, cost efficiency, scalability, and operational reliability on GCP.\nApply DataOps best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and observability.\nDesign, develop, and optimize RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs to support integration with mobile applications, web platforms, and backend services.\nCollaborate with data scientists, product teams, developers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable, production-ready data products.\nParticipate in technical design reviews, troubleshoot complex data issues, and mentor junior and mid-level data engineers.\nLeverage AI coding assistants and AI agents to improve development productivity, code quality, and pipeline automation.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\nMust-have Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.\nAt least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or a closely related field.\nStrong programming skills in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in Apache Spark/PySpark.\nProven hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery.\nSolid experience building and operating large-scale data pipelines for batch and real-time/near-real-time processing.\nPractical experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink, or Kafka Streams.\nExperience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow and data transformation tools such as dbt.\nStrong understanding of data warehouse/lakehouse architecture, data modeling, data quality, and pipeline optimization.\nExperience designing and optimizing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs, including API integration, performance, and security.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional Agile teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in digital banking, core banking, fintech, or financial services data platforms.\nFamiliarity with banking data domains, including T24/core banking data, mobile transactions, banking products, customer behavioral data, and corporate banking workflows.\nExperience with Data Vault 2.0; experience with medallion architecture or other enterprise-scale data modeling approaches is also valued.\nKnowledge of data governance, data lineage, security, and regulatory compliance in banking or other regulated industries.\nExperience with DataOps practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and observability.\nExperience using AI coding assistants and AI agents, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar tools, to support software development and automation.\nExperience mentoring engineers and participating in technical design reviews\nWHAT WE OFFER\nOPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES\nNegotiable depending on experience & skills\n13th-month salary\nOpportunity to work in a professional, modern and energizing setting.\nOpportunity to work in a professional, modern and energizing setting.\nChallenging projects, possibilities, cutting-edge technology, and problems.\nAn open and dynamic working atmosphere that promotes the interchange of ideas, while also empowering you to work and create in your own style.
