In this role, you will collaborate with scientists and engineers focusing on the development of optical interconnects for control, readout and networking of quantum processors. As a RF Electronics Engineer, you will contribute to the conceptualisation, design and realisation of hardware for the delivery and detection of RF signals in the SHF band, both at room temperature as well as at cryogenic temperatures.\nIn-depth understanding of quantum networking or quantum computing is not required for this role.\nYou will be involved in:\nSimulation, design and measurement of ICs, PCBs and interconnects for high-integrity delivery and detection of RF signals in the SHF band for both room temperature and cryogenic hardware.\nDevelopment of circuitry for impedance matching of electro-optic and opto-electronic converters.\nAnalysing, summarising, and presenting results through reports, presentations, and technical discussions.\nCollaborating closely within a diverse, multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.\nSkills and knowledge you will bring to QphoX:\nA masters (WO) degree in electrical engineering, physics or a related subject.\n2+ years of industry or applied research experience in one or more of the following: RF circuit design, RF systems engineering, RF test & measurement.\nProven track record in conceptualization and design of high-frequency electronic circuits, components and interconnects.\nAdvanced to expert level knowledge in using EM field solver software, such Ansys HFSS, Cadence AWR, SONNET and COMSOL.\nProficiency in practical characterization and testing of microwave devices using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, vector network analysers and spectrum analysers.\nExperience designing analogue electronics circuit and PCB based RF solutions.\nExperience with Altium is an advantage.\nThe ability to work collaboratively with inter-disciplinary teams.\nAn organised and rigorous working style.\nOur Ideal Candidate:\nOur ideal candidate is passionate about optimizing signal delivery and detection chains.
