Using state-of-the-art sheetfed offset, narrow-web flexographic, die-cutting, and folder/gluer equipment, our team delivers exceptional quality in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.\nPosition Summary\nQuad is seeking an experienced Lead Sheetfed Offset Press Operator to join our Spartanburg packaging team.\nIn this role, you'll lead production activities while setting up and operating advanced sheetfed offset presses to produce high-quality packaging products. You'll be responsible for press setup, quality control, troubleshooting, basic maintenance, and coordinating production activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved.\nExperience operating Heidelberg XL 105 or XL 106 UV presses is highly preferred. Candidates with experience operating other sheetfed offset presses are encouraged to apply.\nWhat You'll Do\nSet up and operate sheetfed offset presses according to customer specifications and production requirements.\nReview job tickets, substrate requirements, ink specifications, and plate configurations before production.\nLead daily press operations and communicate production requirements to support team members.\nMonitor press performance and make adjustments to maintain print quality and production efficiency.\nMaintain appropriate ink, paper, plates, and material levels throughout production.\nPerform quality inspections and complete required production documentation.\nTroubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic press maintenance.\nConduct line clearances and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nSupport safety initiatives, quality standards, and continuous improvement efforts.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWhat We're Looking For\nPrevious lead sheetfed offset press operating experience is required.\nExperience operating Heidelberg XL 105 or XL 106 UV presses is highly preferred; candidates with experience on other sheetfed offset equipment are encouraged to apply.\nStrong knowledge of sheetfed offset printing processes, color management, and print quality standards.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to prioritize quality while working efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nAbility to pass a color vision assessment.\nStrong leadership and communication skills.\nAbility to accurately read job tickets, production specifications, and measuring devices.\nAbility to lift 10-15 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.\nAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.\nAbility to work overtime and on holidays as business needs require.\nWhy Quad?\nAt Quad, you'll do more than operate equipment-you'll help lead a team that values craftsmanship, innovation, and continuous improvement.
