Associated activities will require constant on-the-floor supervision of all press lines, while effectively motivating employees to achieve positive morale and productivity expectations. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring they are achieving overall production goals, quality standards, and safety for their crew.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nProvide leadership on the floor in a professional and timely manner.\nEstablish and enforce quality, safety, and performance expectations for the crew.\nLead and direct the work of a shift of press employees following policies and procedures. These responsibilities include safety, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nProvide objective performance coaching and feedback to all press operators.\nEvaluate and adjust work procedures to meet production schedules using knowledge of the capacity of employees, machines, and equipment.\nEvaluate process and drive change in partnership with the Plant Director and Department Manager.\nEvaluate labor needs and adjust workforce based on production volume to achieve optimal performance and profitability for the shift.\nParticipate in work-related incident investigations.\nDefine business objectives and metrics for their shift in partnership with the Department Manager.\nDevelop and maintain training programs in conjunction with the Training Coordinator to ensure that all employees on their shift have the necessary skills to perform their duties safely and productively.\nInterpret and review customer job specifications with press personnel.\nRecognize the intricacy of printed materials in the production of good-quality products.\nProvide advice and counsel on all aspects of production.\nEnsure machine maintenance is scheduled and completed on time and according to plans.\nRequired Qualifications:\nExperience: 5 -
