Do you like fast-paced, dynamic environments? \nWe are currently looking for a motivated, autonomous and a team-oriented individual to join our operations team in Edmonton, Alberta as a Warehouse / Bulk Plant Operator! \nAs a Warehouse / Bulk Plant Operator in our Edmonton facility, you will be responsible for receiving and shipping various commodities into and out of our warehouse for Energy and Industrial customers. Additionally, you will also receive chemicals, including dangerous goods, from railcars and will transfer bulk chemicals to customers by loading bulk trucks. We put our people first and that is the the guiding principle for our continued success in our industry. \nSome of the responsibilities of the Warehouse / Bulk Plant Operator include:\nOperate bulk handling equipment, including pumps, hoses, pipes, valves, load arms, gangways, Reverse Osmosis skid, compressors, heat tracing systems and glycol heating systems\nBulk liquid Railcar unloading, including dangerous goods \nAssist and/or lead the management of railcar siding activity, calling cars into facility and releasing\nLoading liquid chemicals into bulk trucks, including dangerous goods\nBlending of bulk liquid chemicals, including dangerous goods, transferring either to bulk trucks or packaging.\nDaily monitoring and reporting of bulk liquid inventories\nReceiving, storage, shipping of general warehouse items as defined by our policies, procedures and processes\nManage occasional contractors working on site by providing documented work permits, which include field level hazard assessments, mitigating actions and special considerations.\nAssists with safety programs (TDG, WHMIS, ISO, Responsible Distribution, Lockout Tagout, etc.) \nAssist with general up-keep of building and basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment \nParticipation in related training as required \nLead and/or assist in Heating Plant boiler operation and maintenance as required \nOperate forklift truck with proper certification \nProcessing paperwork (i.e. warehouse release, bill of lading, certificates of analysis and cover sheet) \nReview daily shipment edit list to ensure orders are being handled to meet customer needs and expectations \nHelp with quarterly physical inventory counts, ensuring accurate inventory (quantity/lots/locations) \nPrinting warehouse release requests, bill of ladings, certificates of analysis \nRegular communication with Logistics, Customer Service and Procurement functions to ensure we are meeting customer and operational requirements\nWhat are the requirements and skills needed for this role?\nExperience in warehouse or manufacturing, specifically chemicals (would be an asset) \n5th Class Power Engineering preferred; candidates willing to obtain certification will also be considered\nCompleted high-school diploma or completed equivalencies \nGood general physical condition; ability to lift and work outside in extreme heat of summer and extreme cold of winter\nTeam spirit, motivation and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision \nExcellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and solve different issues \nGood problem-solving and mechanical skills\nYou MUST be able to wear full face respirator PPE (fit test will be provided) \nExperience with WHMIS / TDG (would be an asset) \nExperience with ERP systems, most significantly JD Edwards (would be an asset)\nForklift cards and experience operating a forklift (would be an asset) \nFlexibility to participate in scheduled weekend shifts as required based on operational needs\nAt Quadra, we offer not only an engaging culture, a collaborative, family-oriented and supportive environment, but also plenty of autonomy and flexibility.
