Quento Technologies S.A. seeks a highly motivated and experienced a Mobile Development Team Lead to lead the technical direction, development activities, and day-to-day coordination of our Mobile engineering capability.
This role is focused on hands-on technical leadership. The successful candidate will guide the Mobile development team, establish engineering best practices, mentor developers, and work closely with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, QA engineers and Agile Delivery Leads to deliver high-quality mobile applications.
Your responsibilities will entail:
Technical Leadership
- Lead the design, development and delivery of iOS and Android applications.
- Define and enforce coding standards, architecture principles and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to developers.
- Participate in solution design and technical decision-making.
Team Leadership
- Coordinate day-to-day development activities.
- Support workload planning and execution.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Contribute to technical hiring and onboarding activities.
Product Delivery
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand requirements.
- Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure delivery commitments are met while maintaining product quality.
- Support release planning and deployment activities.
Quality & Engineering Excellence
- Drive implementation of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Promote test automation and quality engineering.
- Monitor application performance and technical health.
- Address technical debt and architectural improvements.
- Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
- 7+ years of software development experience;
- 2+ years in a technical leadership, Lead Developer or Team Lead role;
- Strong experience in either:
- Native iOS (Swift), or
- Native Android (Kotlin),
- or both platforms.
- Experience with mobile application architecture patterns;
- Experience integrating mobile applications with APIs and backend services;
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading distributed development teams.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and DevOps practices.
- Experience in App Store and Google Play release processes.
- Knowledge of mobile security and performance optimization.
