Our high-performing, dynamic, and collaborative environment fosters professional growth at every stage.\nQuento Technologies seeks a highly motivated Senior Data Engineer (ETL):\nResponsibilities:\nSupport the migration of legacy data collection and database systems to modern cloud-based data management platforms\nDesign, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT and data integration solutions\nDevelop and optimise Python-based scripts for data extraction, validation, transformation, and migration\nSupport the modernization of existing SAS-based data processing and reporting workflows\nIntegrate and consolidate data from multiple sources into unified and reusable datasets and databases\nDesign and optimise database structures supporting analytical and operational workloads\nConduct testing and quality assurance activities for new and existing solutions\nSupport deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of data pipelines\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and platform specialists\nContribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives\nEnsuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field\nMinimum six (6) years of professional practice, following completion of university studies, in data management and software development\nStrong background in software development and/or data engineering\nAdvanced Python programming skills, including the design and implementation of ETL/ELT solutions\nStrong knowledge of SQL and relational databases\nHands-on involvement in database management and data integration activities\nProven ability to develop data validation, transformation, and migration solutions\nDemonstrated contribution to migration initiatives from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms\nFamiliarity with version control systems such as Git\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills\nFluency in English at C1 level or higher according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)\nAdvantageous:\nKnowledge of PySpark, Apache Spark, and Databricks\nFamiliarity with Azure data services and cloud-based data platforms\nKnowledge of the SAS programming language and SAS-based data processing environments, including modernization or migration of SAS workloads to Azure-based platforms\nFamiliarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices\nExposure to international, multicultural, or regulated environments\nBenefits\nThis role is to be performed offsite under a B2B contract\nCV submitted in English.\nYour race, gender identity and expression, age ethnicity or disability make no difference in Quento we want to attract, develop, promote, and retain the best people based only on their ability and behavior.\nDisclaimer: Quento collects and processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
