This includes assisting OEMs with designs, providing training, debugging, assistance in optimizing and integrating software. We are seeking candidates to support new camera use cases and issues from Qualcomm China customers.\nYou will get in this position:\nDeep and broad understanding of the most advanced camera/imaging technologies.\nInvolved in product definition and feature development of the latest module of smartphones and change the way people to record their lives.\nCompetitive salaries and a generous benefits package.\nLong-term development in the abilities such as project management, business development, etc.\nThe candidate is expected to work on the following aspects:\nProvide direct support to OEMs with the design, development and debug of Qualcomm reference designs software related issues\nQuickly assimilate onto an existing project, understand s/w driver architecture, demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and work closely with external customers to customize and launch their new products.\nSupport Qualcomm customer to enable different camera solutions and use cases.\nWork with customer to enable Qualcomm new camera feature and algorithms on customer projects.\nSome travels will be required in order to collaborate across multiple locations.\nAs our valuable team member, we hope you have been equipped with the fundamental capabilities below:\nStrong background and hands-on experience in camera module and bring up related areas.\nUnderstand image process pipeline and camera h/w architecture.\nFamiliar with Android/Linux driver architecture and experience on debug related issues.\nStrong software development skills, C and C++ programming, problem analysis, and debugging skills.\nKnowledge in real-time microprocessor-based embedded programming and embedded real-time operating systems.\nMinimum Qualifications\n2 - 5 years experience on android camera development area.\nStrong knowledge of and experience in Linux Kernel, Device Driver Model\nStrong C & C++ programming and debugging skills required. \nExperience in Linux camera sensor driver bring-up.\nExperience in Camera framework\nExperience in Camera ISP pipeline\nExperience in Camera performance and power optimization\nKnowledge of 3A algorithms, tuning experiences and familiarity with MIPI, I2C, GPIOs, V4L2 a plus.\nExperience on Image Signal Processing.\nExperience in Multimedia software development engineering for Linux based embedded systems. \nStrong communication skills - able to understand and explain highly technical information in a clear and concise manner. \nWilling travel to customer sites and other Qualcomm office locations to co-develop next generation smartphones. \nExceptional English communication skill.\nOutgoing, positive and optimistic personality\nPreferred Qualifications\nCamera sensor driver, VCM driver, flash driver, PLD gating\n3A algorithm improvement and bug fix\nCamera FRM/HAL support\nStill image driver developing, including JPG, PNG, GIF, etc.\nNew Image processing algorithm development and bug fix\nCamera Power and performance profiling and optimization\nSupport customer for the customization features\nOn-site for customer urgent issues support\nPrior experience with Qualcomm Camera Architecture\nWorked on Qualcomm Chipset Projects\nEducation Requirements\nBachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related\nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.\n1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
