In this role, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of the CI systems used by compiler engineers, enabling fast feedback, high-quality releases, and data-driven insights into compiler health and performance.\nYou will work closely with compiler developers and infrastructure partners to monitor CI health, administer and improve server environments, maintain Jenkins pipelines, and build dashboards that surface key trends and KPIs for the compiler.\nKey Responsibilities\nCI Infrastructure & Operations\nMonitor the health, capacity, and performance of servers running CI jobs\nAdminister and maintain CI infrastructure, including hardware and OS-level configuration, updates, and troubleshooting\nProactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and reliability issues\nImprove CI stability, scalability, and job execution efficiency\nPipeline Development & Maintenance\nDesign, create, and maintain Jenkins pipelines for building, testing, and validating a Machine Learning compiler\nCollaborate with compiler engineers to integrate new tests, workflows, and tooling into CI\nOptimize pipelines for faster feedback, reproducibility, and ease of maintenance\nTest Monitoring\nMonitor CI test failures and regressions, distinguishing infrastructure issues from product defects\nPartner with developers to triage and resolve failures promptly\nMetrics, Dashboards & Insights\nBuild and maintain dashboards that visualize trends and KPIs for compiler correctness, performance, and CI health\nEnable data-driven decision-making by surfacing actionable insights from CI data\nContinuously refine metrics to better reflect compiler quality and developer productivity\nRequired Skills\n5+ years of industry experience supporting CI workflows for software development\nStrong experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline development\nStrong experience with collaborative software development and version control tools such as git, github, Jira\nStrong understanding of software build and test workflows\nProficiency in Bash, C++, Python, cmake\nHands-on experience administering Linux-based servers and CI infrastructure\nStrong debugging and troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, pipelines, and test systems\nExperience collaborating with developers to improve CI reliability and effectiveness\nPreferred Skills\nExperience supporting CI for compiler or performance-critical software\nFamiliarity with monitoring, logging, and metrics systems used in CI environments\nExperience designing CI systems at scale or for heterogeneous hardware environments\nWhat You’ll Bring\nA reliability-first mindset with strong ownership of CI systems\nAbility to balance short-term fixes with long-term infrastructure improvements\nClear communication skills and comfort working with senior engineers and technical leads\nPassion for developer productivity, automation, and high-quality engineering systems\nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
